
School of Business and Economics (SOBE) Conducts Inter-Varsity Training to Enhance Employability of Its Students
The School of Business and Economics (SOBE), has conducted an Inter-Varsity employability training for students pursuing various business-related courses in the School. The event took place on 15th March 2024 and was aimed at equipping the students with the requisite skills that will enhance their employability. The training was facilitated by the National Employment Authority (NEA).
Speaking during the event, the Director- Career Services, Prof. Robert Egessa encouraged the students to take a keen interest in the training to acquire the necessary employability skills. Additionally, the Associate Dean SOBE – Dr. Mary Nelima reiterated that mentorship training is very crucial in the career development of students and in creating networks with industry professionals.
The students were taken through various topics including Financial Literacy & Professionalism, Taxation & Auditing, Entrepreneurship & Ethics, Communication Skills as well as Leadership and Governance.
